MPH, Community-Based Research Program Manager

Originally from Hampton, Virginia, Indya relocated to Atlanta to pursue a career in Public Health. Indya received her Bachelor's in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and her Master of Public Health, specializing in Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences, from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health. She has worked on various projects in the topic areas of maternal and child health as well as reproductive health.
Her passions include contributing to community-led research projects that transcend into community programs designed to improve overall health and wellbeing for Black families. Indya joined SisterLove in 2020 and serves as the Community-Based Research Program Manager where she collaborates with research partners, community members, and other stakeholders to conduct community-led research to ultimately achieve health equity for black women, women of color, and their communities.
