About the Role
SisterLove, Inc. is seeking a Community Health Worker (Prevention Specialist)
who is responsible for providing HIV testing, counseling, linkage to care,
biomedical prevention tools, and education
Requirements
● Perform HIV Anti-Body Test, complete appropriate forms, follow up with
clients regarding test results, developing sexual health and wellness
plans, provides referrals to treatment, and scheduling follow-up
appointment
● Ensures quality standards for testing and counseling are maintained
through completion of required documentation and complies with all
CLIA and laboratory protocols
● Provides confidential assessment to determine prevention needs of all
clients
● Refer program participants to HIV/STI screenings, treatment clinics, and
other services and educational intervention programs as appropriate
● Prepare and Disseminate HIV education materials, offers support, and
provides pre- and post-testing counseling in accordance with SisterLove
and CDC protocols
● Document and maintain records of all activities and report outcomes
● Attend all at required organizational, department, project meetings,
workshops, and/or trainings as requested by Program Manager
● Provide back-up support to the HEAP Program Manager upon request
